World’s biggest water theme park opened in Sydney
The biggest ever water theme park in the world has opened in Sydney’s west and is about to become a large-scale tourist attraction that will increase the economy and employment in Sydney.
Named as Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney, it is operated by Village Roadshow Theme Parks. It was inaugurated by George Souris, Minister for Tourism.
He said, the Park will definitely have a positive impact on the visitor economy of New South Wales, and will be a much-needed push for employment and surrounding businesses in Western Sydney.
Souris added that over the next ten years, the $120 million Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney is anticipated to generate $500 million in economic activity for the local economy.
The water park features 40 water slides and attractions including The Beach – Australia’s largest wave pool with more than 6,800,000 liters of water.
Souris said that the water park will be a huge asset for Western Sydney and subsequently to NSW, attracting both local visitors and also tourists from overseas, interstate and regional areas.
